Syttende Mai festivities end with our fun-filled parade, which is the highlight of the day. The parade features many Norwegian organizations with an impressive variety of Norwegian bunader. Children are always at the heart of our parade and we have a uniquely American perspective with marching bands, drill teams, and community groups. Seattle’s Syttende Mai has become a community celebration.

Parade units and marchers check-in station near Adams school, corner of 28th and 62nd NW. The parade begins at the corner of NW 62nd and 24th Avenue NW. The route follows south to Market Street and eastward to Bergen Place park, then turns right onto 22nd and continues south down Ballard Avenue and ends at Dock St.

Would you like to walk in the parade with us?

After sending in your application, you will hear from the parade coordinators only if they have a question about your application or for some reason your application is not accepted

So come join the family fun. We’d love to hear you say:

“Hipp, Hipp, Hurra!”
