Ketil Solvik-Olsen

Former Norwegian Minister of Transport and Communications and second deputy leader of the Progress Party from 2013 to 2018. He was a member of the Norwegian Parliament for Rogaland from 2005, until deciding not to seek renomination in 2013.

Ketil is currently living in the United States as his wife has a medical fellowship in Birmingham, Alabama. He is involved in various transportation and logistics efforts as consultant and advisor and will be in Seattle to attend the Nordic Innovation Conference at the Nordic Museum on May 16th.

Keystone Kops

First and foremost, the 17th of May is a day for children. With that message in mind, two men that are “Ballard Boys” with Norwegian heritage, (graduated from Ballard High School in 1956 and 1958) Gene Willard and Boyd Brannan were selected to serve as 2019 Honorary Marshals. Also known as “The Keystone Kops” their organization’s mission is to “strongly support the Concerns of Police Survivors”. An organization that assists the families of police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
